About the publication
Public Method
An independent Canadian editorial publication built around careful local context, clear authorship and transparent practices.
Public Method is an independent research-publication published from Ottawa, Ontario. It was designed as a separate editorial voice rather than a regional copy of another publication. Its coverage begins with the subjects named in its sections, but its real interest is the connection between public decisions and ordinary experience.
Our editorial approach is deliberate. We separate reporting, analysis, opinion and partnership material. Contributors are credited, stories carry publication and update dates, and corrections are made where a material error is identified. We do not publish fabricated reader reviews, ratings or testimonials.
The visual identity of Public Method is intentionally specific to this publication: a locally rooted layout, a visible editorial desk and a readable archive. This difference is structural, not cosmetic.
The current site build uses no analytics libraries, advertising tags or social tracking pixels. It provides information about its data practices in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and it includes a dedicated disclosure for partnership content when such content is activated.
For an operating publication, the editor should replace any demonstration editorial copy, verify all reporting, maintain accessible contact details and keep the legal pages aligned with the services actually in use. This page is a statement of editorial intent, not a substitute for the judgement of a working newsroom.
